Plants in a windowless bathroom: what lighting do they need?

A plant cannot grow long term in total darkness. A windowless bathroom needs suitable artificial lighting or a different decorative choice.

Low light and no light are different

A plant that tolerates low light still receives some light. A room light switched on briefly when someone enters is not automatically a growing setup. Stored resources may help a plant tolerate an unfavourable period, but they do not replace a lasting light source.

Create a controlled, well-lit spot

Check the electrical installation, mounting, available space and humidity conditions permitted for the model. Compare indoor plant lights against your constraints and follow the step-by-step installation guide. Set regular hours and include a period without lighting.

Then choose a plant

Identify a species suited to the light actually available and adjust watering to the pot. The guide to growing without a window explains this approach. If you cannot provide those conditions, a non-living decoration avoids presenting plant survival as guaranteed.
