Lighting indoor plants: understand your options
Start with the location and the area of foliage to light. The lamp shape, mounting and settings matter as much as electrical power.
Start with the room and the plants
Note the window, the seasons that cause difficulties, the size of your collection and the available mounting height. Distinguish a supplement to window light from a setup that is almost entirely artificial. This assessment prevents a choice based on wattage alone.
A four-step selection method
- Define the use: one pot, a shelf, a cabinet or a collection.
- Measure the area to cover and identify a stable mounting point.
- Compare product details: format, settings, accessories and approved environment.
- Follow the instructions for distance and timing, then observe new growth.
Indoor plant lights brings together the available options. The use-based comparison explains the limits of each format; the step-by-step installation guide takes you from choosing to setting it up.
What a lamp cannot fix
It does not replace drainage, consistent watering or checking for pests. It also produces heat, although its behaviour differs from that of other technologies. It cannot maintain the humidity in a cabinet on its own.
Keep a daily period without lighting, follow the mounting conditions in the instructions and avoid supposedly universal distances. The foliage distance guide explains what to check.
